Notes

The Queen of Sheba is without doubt one of the most beautiful and spectacular orchids of Australia. It is restricted to near-coastal areas of south-western WA between Perth and Albany, although a few scattered inland populations are known to exist in WA’s Wheatbelt region. The orchids are most commonly found growing in sandy soils in mixed Banksia and Eucalyptus woodland. The peak flowering period is late winter to early spring.
